The lyrics talk about the singers hero, and what he does for him and how he is ordinary.  This is relevant to The Kite Runner and the character of Rahim Khan throughout the whole novel. Rahim is Amir's hero as he helps him overcome his physical, outer and inner emotional journeys throughout his whole life and is the reason why Amir is living a safe, happy and successful life in America. This song sums up what Amir thinks of Rahim Khan.

The lyrics of the song are relevant towards the blog entries. The songs lyrics explain how "they need to find a better place to hide", and that the Razor is "sweet and divine" and that he hopes he gets a chance to say goodbye. These lyrics relate to the 3rd blog entry as Hassan and his family should of found a better place to hide instead of staying in Kabul. The "Razor" symbolizes Hassan and Amir's friendship as it is sweet and divine.The lyrics - "I hope I get the chance to say goodbye" is relevant to the letter the Hassan writes to Amir as he hopes to see Amir in the future and gets a chance to say goodbye to him.

This is relevant for blog entry  because during the 2nd entry, Amir is very down and sad at his birthday party. Rahim Khan decides to go cheer up Amir, have a talk with him and give him is birthday gift. This moment really makes Amir happy, and realizes that its "Times like these you learn to live again, its times like these you give and give again, its times like these you learn again". These lyrics totally are relevant to Amir's situation.

The song is called The Call Kabul 1978 by Alberto Iglesias and ironically enough the time and setting of the story is 1976, also in Kabul Afghanistan. This song reflects the way of living back in 1976 in Afghanistan.  Alberto Iglesias uses the exact same instruments that musicians in Kabul would use in 1976 making this song a perfect reflection of the entry.
